Our mission is to support local teachers of social studies. We understand that good social studies teaching is difficult. Teaching effectively can be costly, time consuming, and demands continuous collaboration.  We are here to help you by providing links to pedagogically strong lesson plans, a lending library for you to borrow resources for classroom use, and also letting you know about professional development opportunities for you across the New Orleans area. 

S.S. NOLA was made possible by a Tulane University, Carol-Lavin Bernick Faculty grant.  It is run by Brooke Grant, a Senior Professor of Practice in Education Programs at Tulane University.
